Flashings and Weatherings

There can be relatively few buildings in the British Isles which do not employ lead somewhere in their structure. Flashings and weatherings certainly account for the majority of usage of lead and we have installed many kilometres over the years. Due to their common occurrence they are often neglected. The plumbing or general roofing contractor is awarded this work as a secondary part of their contract. Unfortunately these flashings are usually a primary means of ensuring a weathertight roof, it is therefore a good idea to employ a specialist contractor who understands the importance of careful installation and accurate design. Q. Bytheway has these skills and will ensure that, although a small part of a roof, the lead flashings and weatherings will be treated with the respect they deserve.
